These Terms govern your use of:

• Embracing Imperfection Academy at courses.embracingimperfection.com (our LearnWorlds school for accounts, courses, community and checkout), and

• embracingimperfection.com (our MailerLite-powered marketing website, forms, blog and newsletter).

By using either site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

1) About our services

We provide online courses, digital downloads, and community spaces aimed at personal development and well-being (the Services). Some content is free; other content is paid.

Age: You must be 18+ to purchase. Users 13–17 may access free content with parental/guardian consent.

2) Accounts & security (Academy)

You may create an account to enrol in courses or join the community. Keep your login details confidential and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

3) Orders, pricing & payment (Academy)

Prices are shown in GBP and include/exclude taxes as stated at checkout. We may change prices at any time (changes don’t affect completed purchases). Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for purchases and renewals (if you buy a subscription in future).

4) Digital content, access & cooling-off

When you buy a course or download, you are purchasing digital content and/or online services.

• You will be asked to confirm you want immediate access. If you do, you lose the 14-day right to cancel once streaming or download begins (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).

• If you do not opt for immediate access, you may cancel within 14 days before access starts and receive a refund.

• This does not affect your statutory rights if the content is faulty or not as described.

5) Refunds & cancellations (our policy)

We aim to be fair and clear.

• Courses: we offer a 14-day refund if less than 10% of the course has been completed.

• Digital downloads (e.g., PDFs, audio files): non-refundable once the download starts.

• How to request: email [hello@embracingimperfection.com] with your order email and course name.

Where a refund is due, it will be made to your original payment method. This policy is in addition to your legal rights.

6) Community standards (Academy)

Be kind and respectful. No harassment, hate, illegal content, spam, or medical/therapeutic advice to others. We may moderate, remove content, or suspend accounts to protect members and comply with law.

7) Acceptable use (both sites)

Don’t misuse the sites, interfere with security, scrape content, or attempt unauthorised access. Do not upload content that infringes rights or breaches law.

8) Intellectual property & licence

All course materials, videos, audio, PDFs, text and images are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use purchased content for your own non-commercial use. You must not copy, share, resell, record, or redistribute content without written permission.

9) Availability & changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, pause or discontinue features to improve the Service. If we permanently withdraw paid content you purchased, we will provide a reasonable alternative or a pro-rata refund.

10) Third-party links & tools

Our sites may link to third-party websites or use third-party tools (e.g., Stripe checkout, embedded players). We aren’t responsible for their content or policies.

11) Privacy & cookies

Your personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy, where you can manage preferences.

12) Disclaimers (well-being)

Content is educational and supportive for general well-being. It is not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice and is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or concerned about your safety, contact emergency services.

13) Liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, or loss of profit. For paid content, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant item.

14) Termination

You may stop using the sites at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, to protect users, or to comply with law.

15) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version with the Effective date above and, for significant changes, we may also notify you by email or site banner. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

16) Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
